Biotechnology Program, Faculty of Science | Chulalongkorn University

 

The biotechnology program is a multidisciplinary program offering both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees under the supervision of academic faculty members from The Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Chulalongkorn University and 9 departments in the Faculty of Science (as listed below). Integrated researches ranging from biomolecule identification to process technology development are provided in order to prepare students for biotechnology careers in either academic or private sectors.

Admission & Scholarships

Admission Requirements

M.Sc. Program

  • B.Sc. Degree or other degrees in the field of biological and physical sciences.
  • If English is not the applicant's first language, an English proficiency test with a minimum TOEFL paper equivalent of 400
    (CU-TEP : 30, IELTS : 3.0) is required.

Ph.D. Program

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. Degree in related to biotechnology field.
  • If English is not the applicant's first language, an English proficiency test with a minimum TOEFL paper equivalent of 450
    (CU-TEP : 45, IELTS : 4.0) is required.

Scholarships

Eligible candidates can applied for teaching assistantships and research assistantships, which are regularly provided yearly, and a number of the academic scholarships are also provided by Chulalongkorn University, Faculty of Science, and principal investigators' research fund.
